Meet The Executive Board
The Executive Board of the University Investors association is a diverse group of students who strive to make the UIA the premier finance organization at the University of Texas at Austin.
Austin Bennett
President
Austin is a Senior pursuing a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting. He is currently in the McCombs Financial Analyst Program and is studying to earn his CFA certification. This past summer Austin worked at BVA Group LLC, a valuation and litigation consulting firm in Dallas. At BVA, Austin worked on fairness opinions, stock issuances and purchase price allocations for middle market companies across all industries. He also worked on valuing damages for a $22 billion corporate litigation. The prior summer, he worked as an accounting intern at Range Resources, a natural gas and oil firm in Fort Worth, Texas. The summer before that he interned at Advanced Financial Strategies in Dallas, Texas. This will be Austin's fourth year with the UIA.
Anil Pillai
Vice President
Anil is currently a Senior Finance and Economics major with a minor in Mathematics. This past summer he interned in the Energy Investment Bank group at Jeffries in Houston. The summer before that he interned at Noble Capital, a mid- market Investment Bank. Prior to that he coached for the Plano Senior High Varsity Basketball team. This is his fifth semester with UIA.
David Epstein

David is currently a sophomore in the Business Honors Program. He plans on majoring in Finance and Economics. He studied Operations Management while in Hong Kong this summer. This is David's second year with UIA.
Daniel Doll
Corporate Relations Director
Daniel is currently a Junior majoring in Finance. This past summer he worked at Freescale as a financial analyst intern. During the summer he also took a trip to Honduras where he did microfinance consulting for under-resourced farming communities as part of the Global Brigades Organization. This is his second year with the UIA.
Justin Callan
Technical Director
Justin is currently a Senior majoring in Economics and Spanish. He has interned with the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and AXA Advisors, a global financial advising company. This past summer Justin interned at Bloomberg LP in NYC as part of the Management Planning and Analysis team. This is Justin’s third semester with the UIA.
Dhruv Goel
Executive Committee Member
Dhruv is currently a sophomore planning on graduating with a major in Finance and a minor in Marketing. He was an intern for Schlumberger in Houston this past summer and prior to that he was an intern at the Bank of Texas. At UT he has served as the Public Relations Officer of the Indian Cultural Association and is a member of Pratham-UT. This is his third semester with UIA.
PJ Kaminer
Executive Committee Member
PJ is currently a Sophomore majoring in Energy Finance. He works as an intern for Endeavor Real Estate Group, a large commercial real estate firm in Austin, Texas. In the past PJ has interned for 3 Degrees, Inc., working on wind energy programs, as well as for McCormack Baron where he worked with project managers on low-income housing projects. This is PJ's second semester with UIA.

Katie is currently a junior in the MPA program. She has worked for a local property tax lending company for the past two summers. This is her second year with UIA.
Blair Ohman
Corporate Affairs Coordinator
Blair is currently a junior in the Business Honors Program majoring in Finance and Economics. He interned with Textron this past summer. Currently he works for The Princeton Review and Fulcrum Capital, where he is a trading assistant specializing in distressed claims and other illiquid debt. This is Blair's second year with UIA.
Alex Baird
Business Council Representative
Alex is a Junior majoring in Political Science with a focus on Global Governance and a minor in Business (Finance). He spent one semester at The University of British Columbia in Vancouver studying Economics. He has also interned at Air Liquide USA, the global leader in industrial gases, in Houston focusing on legal and corporate affairs. This is his second semester with UIA.
Sunny Yadav
Executive Committee Member
Sunny is a junior majoring in Finance with a minor in Government. He interned with Nabil Investment Bank in Nepal this past summer. The prior summer, he interned with United Nations Development Programme. This is his second year with UIA.
Nick Saleh
Marketing Director
Nick is from San Antonio, Texas and graduated Clark high school. He is a Finance and Economics major graduating in 2013. Nick did auditing and consulting for the UT system administration this past summer. He has been a UIA member since spring 2010.
